Job description

Amaze Special Early Education Centre Limited Auckland

ECE Teacher in Training – Early Intervention Focus

Full time, Permanent

Teacher in Training – Inclusive and specialist ECE.

Amaze Special Early Education Centre is looking for a passionate ECE teacher in training to join our specialist team in Epsom, Auckland.

Amaze has been intentionally created to provide a nurturing, inclusive and responsive early learning environment for neurodivergent tamariki and children who benefit from additional support. We believe every child deserves to be understood, valued and given genuine opportunities to belong, participate and thrive.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone currently studying towards a recognised ECE teaching qualification who has a genuine interest in inclusive education, neurodiversity and early intervention.

You do not need to be an expert. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, open to different approaches and passionate about understanding each child’s individual strengths, communication, sensory needs and interests.

Working alongside experienced kaiako, you will develop your practice in a specialist environment where relationships, individualised learning and responsive teaching are at the heart of what we do.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is currently studying towards a recognised ECE teaching qualification
  • has an interest in neurodiversity, inclusion and early intervention
  • is warm, patient, calm and willing to learn
  • values strengths-based, child-centred practice
  • is open to learning about diverse communication and sensory needs
  • builds respectful relationships with tamariki and whānau
  • works collaboratively within a supportive teaching team
  • is committed to Te Whāriki, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice.

At Amaze, you will be supported to learn, grow and develop your teaching practice within a service where lower ratios, individualised support, sensory-aware environments and meaningful relationships are central to our approach.

If you are looking for somewhere different to begin or continue your teaching journey, we would love to hear from you.

Come grow with us and help create a place where every child can belong, learn and be uniquely themselves.
