Busy Bees Gladstone Road in Gisborne, NZ, seeks a Centre Manager to lead a high-performing team within a supported national network. You will drive exceptional tamariki outcomes, coach kaiako, and oversee enrolments, rostering and occupancy while upholding Te Whāriki and regulatory standards.

Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa, a Bachelor of Education (ECE) or NZQA-approved qualification, and current teacher registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (ECE) or NZQA-approved qualification
• Current teacher registration
• Proven leadership experience in ECE sector
• Knowledge of Te Whāriki, MOE regulations, licensing criteria, Teaching Council requirements
• Experience with occupancy, rostering, and childcare management systems
• Commitment to Te Reo Māori and tikanga in daily practice

Responsibilities

• Lead centre performance and foster a positive, high-performing team culture
• Ensure high-quality care and education while maintaining compliance
• Coach and mentor kaiako through Professional Growth Cycles and development conversations
• Oversee enrolments, occupancy, staffing, and rostering to achieve centre goals
• Build strong relationships within the local community and promote the centre's reputation
• Champion a bicultural curriculum grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi
