Job summary

Busy Bees Gladstone Road is seeking a Centre Manager to lead daily operations, coach a high‑performing team of kaiako, and deliver outstanding tamariki outcomes. With support from your Regional Manager, you'll shape curriculum and foster a collaborative culture.

You will ensure Te Tiriti o Waitangi informs all practice, manage enrolments and rosters, and drive occupancy targets while upholding MOE regulations and NZQA standards to maintain centre excellence.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or NZQA‑approved equivalent and current teacher registration.
• Proven leadership experience within the ECE sector with a passion for coaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the centre performance and build a high‑performing team.
• Deliver quality care and education with a focus on compliance and financial results.
• Mentor kaiako through professional growth cycles and 1:1 development discussions.
• Implement centre‑specific strategic plans and robust curriculum evaluations.
• Manage enrolments, occupancy targets and staff rosters.
• Build deep community connections as the centre’s visible face and reputation.
• Ensure Te Tiriti o Waitangi is the foundation of a bicultural approach to education.
