Job summary

Ara Institute of Canterbury in Christchurch is seeking a dynamic Casual Tutor to support Level 3 and 4 learners in Science, Literacy and Mathematics. You will deliver engaging lessons and help students progress toward their goals.

Join our Foundation and Pathways team to build genuine relationships, manage diverse learners, and create learning experiences that connect study with real-world opportunities. A relevant tertiary qualification and experience with learners facing barriers are preferred.

Qualifications

• A talent for building genuine relationships with learners.
• Expertise in Science, Literacy or Mathematics.
• Experience working with learners facing barriers to education.
• Ability to manage boundaries while maintaining a positive learner-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Level 3 and 4 learners to achieve their goals.
• Deliver creative lessons that keep learners engaged.
• Teach and support learners across Science, Literacy and Mathematics programmes, depending on your skills and experience.
