Job summary

Northern Health School invites applications from experienced teachers who are fully registered and confident to teach across a broad range of subjects within the New Zealand curriculum. Senior health-school experience is an added advantage, and Te Reo Māori or local iwi connections are valued.

Permanent, full-time positions provide opportunities to teach Years 1–13, with management units and allowances for dedicated staff.

Qualifications

• Full registration and recent experience teaching the New Zealand curriculum required.
• Ability to speak Te Reo Māori and/or local iwi connections will be highly regarded.
• Experience teaching across Year levels and willingness to teach other year levels across range of subjects.
• Previous health school teaching experience an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Teach across Years 1–13 across a range of subject areas.
• Help students access education despite health issues in collaboration with schools and providers.
• Operate within a health-school context and participate in staff/management duties as appropriate.
