Job summary

Qualifications

• Level 4 or higher certificate in Hospitality, Hospitality Management, Business Management, or equivalent.
• A bachelor’s degree in any field, or equivalent work experience in hospitality.
• At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in restaurant/hospitality industry.
• Current Manager’s Certificate, supported by Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) preferred.
• Strong leadership and staff management skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar.
• Recruit, train, supervise and support staff, including preparing weekly rosters and coordinating shifts.
• Plan and manage budgets, costs and business targets.
• Monitor stock levels, order food and beverages, manage inventory and liaise with suppliers.
• Assist with menu planning and development.
• Manage reservations and oversee the overall customer dining experience.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Oversee cash handling, POS procedures, daily takings, and opening and closing procedures.
• Support marketing initiatives, promotions and opportunities to grow the business.
• Report to the business owners on staffing, costs, sales and overall restaurant performance.
