Job summary

Enterprise Technology Recruitment – Auckland, North Island is seeking an AI Orchestration Engineer to design and build the backend agent orchestration layer for a next-generation AI-powered financial modelling platform. This role focuses on dynamic orchestration beyond fixed workflows, involving multi-agent planning, task decomposition, context management, and integration with LLMs and tools.

You'll collaborate across backend engineering, API design, and customer-facing elements as the platform

Qualifications

• Backend engineer with AI orchestration experience.
• Experience building AI agent orchestration systems.
• Strong understanding of multi-agent architectures and workflow orchestration.
• Experience with orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents SDK, Temporal).
• Strong API, asynchronous and distributed systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Design orchestration workflows where agent completes task, assesses results, and identifies next steps.
• Plan tasks across agents, decompose workloads, and manage handoffs.
• Manage state, context, and dependencies across workflows.
• Integrate LLMs and tools into dynamic, production-quality orchestration pipelines.
