Job summary

Enterprise Technology Recruitment in Takapuna, North Island, is seeking a Senior Front End Engineer who will embed AI agents into the customer journey and shape the next generation of FinTech products.

You'll combine strong React/TypeScript front-end skills with practical AI orchestration, building autonomous workflows and AI-powered experiences. You’ll work closely with founders, product and AI specialists to define architecture and deliver high-impact customer solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building modern customer-facing applications.
• Expert knowledge of React and TypeScript.
• Experience integrating APIs and cloud-based services.
• Commercial experience with AI orchestration and intelligent workflows.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs such as Claude, OpenAI or Anthropic into production applications.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture and distributed systems.
• A product-first mindset with genuine passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build exceptional customer-facing applications using modern front-end technologies.
• Embed AI agents into customer workflows to create intelligent, autonomous product experiences.
• Design and implement AI orchestration across multiple services, APIs and business processes.
• Build integrations with LLM platforms including Claude, OpenAI and other emerging AI technologies.
• Develop agentic workflows capable of reasoning, planning and executing complex tasks.
• Collaborate with product leaders to determine where AI delivers genuine customer value.
• Prototype, test and productionise AI-powered product capabilities.
• Contribute to technical architecture, product strategy and the ongoing evolution of the company's AI platform.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to maintain technical leadership.
