Job summary

Atticus Finch Holdings Limited is seeking two Duty Managers to oversee daily restaurant operations, supervise staff, and ensure service standards.

You will coordinate front-of-house and kitchen activities, manage opening/closing, and ensure compliance with food safety and licensing requirements. The role involves supervising staff, handling cash at POS, and maintaining records to support smooth service.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or hospitality operations with staff supervision.
• A relevant qualification may substitute work experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage stock, cash, and POS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations during the shift, coordinating front-of-house and kitchen activities.
• Supervise and allocate staff duties with adequate coverage across service areas.
• Monitor staff performance, provide on-the-job training and induction.
• Ensure food, beverage, hygiene and customer service standards.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and handle inquiries and complaints.
• Coordinate opening/closing procedures, handovers, cash handling, POS, and daily records.
• Monitor stock levels and report purchasing requirements; minimise wastage.
• Check deliveries and storage per food safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, safety, and licensing requirements.
• Monitor cleanliness and general condition of dining areas, kitchen facilities and counters.
• Identify issues and escalate as needed; maintain records of attendance, stock, cash, complaints, incidents.
• Implement procedures and service standards; give feedback to management.
• Make day-to-day operational decisions to maintain service continuity and control costs.
