Job summary

Duty Manager roles are full-time (30–40 hours weekly) with pay starting from $30 per hour, and responsibilities include coordinating front-of-house and kitchen activities, monitoring service quality, safety compliance, and daily financial records.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or hospitality operations and staff supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple service areas and maintain standards.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
• Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts to ensure efficient service.
• Supervise and coordinate staff duties for adequate coverage.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to staff.
• Ensure service quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.
• Handle cash, POS operations, and daily records.
• Monitor stock and report purchasing needs; manage deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining and kitchen areas.
• Identify issues and escalate to management when needed.
