Job summary

Good George Hospitality Group in Auckland is seeking a proactive Duty Manager with a flair for events and guest experience. This central city venue seeks someone who can lead a team, manage busy service periods, and coordinate functions with attention to detail.

Essentially you will hold LCQ and Duty Manager certificates, demonstrate strong administration, and have excellent English. We offer full-time or part-time roles with roster flexibility and opportunities for growth within a vibrant

Qualifications

• Solid management experience in a high volume restaurant or pub.
• Current LCQ and DM’s Cert are absolutely essential.
• Strong admin skills and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to deliver excellent service during busy periods.
• Oversee functions and events, from planning to delivery.
• Maintain high standards of hospitality, safety, and compliance.
• Manage rostering and daily admin tasks to support operations.

A very niche role has become available at our central city, waterfront venue so we are looking for someone very special. Think Duty Manager with a side serving of Functions Assistant, or a Pepper Pots to our Functions Iron Man.

Do you have a current LCQ and Duty Managers certificate? If so, then you could be what we're looking for

About you:

• Solid management experience in a high volume restaurant or pub
• A current LCQ and DM’s Cert (absolutely essential)
• Great admin skills as well as a strong/fluent English
• Strong attention to detail and impeccable organisation
• Passionate about proving excellent service, bonus points for event planning and functions
• An understanding of what a successful function looks like, including an understanding of the different menu options
• Flexible rostered working hours, including weekends and evenings. Part time or full time
• A can-do positive attitude to take ownership of the role, to handle what the day brings and all while leading a team
• Must have working rights in NZ, we are not able to support an AEWV
