Job summary

InterContinental Wellington is seeking a Duty Engineer to join our maintenance team on-site. You will assist with general hotel and building minor maintenance and ensure work meets high standards aligned with guest satisfaction.

The role involves carrying out scheduled inspections, performing minor repairs, responding to department requests, and maintaining the building. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, is essential, with opportunities for training and career development

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience.
• Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the hotel team and with guests.
• Flexibility to be available for rotating shifts, including weekends.

Your Role

• Respond to requests from departments throughout the day

What You'll Need

• General maintenance experience

• Strong communication skills! You will be building working relationships with people across the hotel team and interacting with guests
• Flexibility - you are required to be available for rotating shifts, including weekends.
