Job summary

InterContinental Wellington is seeking a Duty Engineer to join our team adjacent to Wellington’s waterfront. You will support the Maintenance team with general hotel and building minor maintenance, ensuring work meets high standards and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include scheduled inspections, minor repairs, responding to department requests, and ongoing building maintenance. We offer paid birthday leave, hotel perks, full training, a daily laundered uniform, and parental leave

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience.
• Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
• Strong communication skills; you will be building relationships with people across the hotel team and interacting with guests.
• Flexibility to be available for rotating shifts, including weekends.

Your Role

Assist theMaintenance teamwith general hotel and building minor maintenance and ensure that work is completed to a high standard that aligns with the expectations and satisfaction of our customers.

• Carry out scheduled inspections
• General building minor maintenance repairs
• Respond to requests from departments throughout the day
• General building maintenance & repairs

What You'll Need

• General maintenance experience
