PAK'nSAVE Hastings is seeking a Dry Goods Team Leader for the morning shift to oversee the Dry Goods Department, including grocery, chilled, frozen, liquor and trolleys.

The role runs Sunday to Thursday 4:00am - 12:30pm (40 hours per week). You will lead the full wave filling process, manage rosters, stock displays and health & safety compliance while guiding new staff. Prior retail leadership and a forklift license are valued but training is provided.

Competenze

• At least 12 months busy retail experience.
• Previous leadership experience or potential.
• Comfortable in direct and friendly customer service.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety practices, especially in MHE and manual handling.
• Current Managers Certificate and LCQ are highly desired; forklift license is advantageous.

Dry Goods Team Leader - Full Time (Mornings)

We have an exciting new opportunity in our Dry Goods Department at PAK'nSAVE Hastings. This includes,departments grocery, chilled, frozen, liquor and trolleys

The days and hours are as follows:

• Sunday to Thursday 4:00am - 12:30pm (40 Hours per week)

ADry Goods Team Leader is responsible for helping to ensure optimal performanceof all Departments within Dry Goods. They are also responsible for ensuring allHealth & Safety compliance is met and additional tasks like assisting withDepartment alarms and general customer and staff enquiries are fielded andhandled correctly.Thisincludes allocation / supervision of staff to ensure that sufficient quantitiesand range of products are available for sale at the correct price at all timesduring opening hours.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conductingand leading the full wave filling process.
• Coordinationand problem solving of any unforeseeable issues e.g. equipment breakdown, lowresources etc
• Identifypriorities for the day for the whole Department based on the assessment of stock,team and seasonal and/or random occurrences
• Facilitating digital scanning of the gaps on shelves, and initiating communication and action with relevant peopleaccordingly
• Weekly preparation of the Displays in each area.
• Daily and weekly roster and time sheet checking, fielding any escalations on to the department manager.
• Motivating and leading the team based on the department managers direction.
• Coordinatingand leading new team members arrival to the department, as well as theirinitial buddy-assignment for on-the-job training

To succeed in this role you will need:

• At least 12 months busy retail experience. (Supermarket preferred)
• Previous leadership experience or has shown previous leadership potential.
• Comfortable in direct and friendly customer service.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety Practices, especially in MHE, Traffic management plans and manual handling
• A Current Managers Certificate, LCQ, as well as a Forklift license,is highly desired but not essential for the right candidate as we can help you get these.
