Job summary

Downer has an exciting opportunity for motivated Driver Operators to join our Dunedin team. You'll drive and operate equipment across maintenance, civil and infrastructure projects, while supporting general labouring, site setup, and traffic management tasks.

We value safety, teamwork and a proactive attitude. Permanent, full-time hours, with ongoing training and development opportunities, await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Full Class 2, 4 or 5 Driver Licence.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate equipment as required on civil and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with general labour tasks, site setup and traffic management support.
• Deliver project activities and work with the crew to meet targets.

Downer has an exciting opportunity for motivated Driver Operators to join our Dunedin team. Whether you're a Class 2, 4 or 5 licence holder, we want to hear from people who enjoy a mix of driving, operating equipment, and getting stuck in alongside the crew.

You'll be an important part of our operations team, supporting a range of maintenance, civil, and infrastructure projects across the region. When you're not behind the wheel, you'll be assisting with general labouring tasks, site setup, traffic management support, and project delivery activities.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Full Class 2, 4 or 5 Driver Licence
• A strong work ethic and willingness to get involved with labouring tasks

• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Highly desirable:

• Civil construction, maintenance, or infrastructure experience
• Excavator operating experience
• Experience with Concrete & Asphalt Work
• Carpentry skills highly regardedwork
• W, T, and R endorsements
• Experience operating plant and machinery
• Experience working outdoors in physically demanding environments
