Job summary

Smart Environmental is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Driver to join our Feilding team. You will operate a range of vehicles, perform daily inspections, and log information as part of a safety-focused operation.

Applicants should hold a NZ Class 4 licence, have 2+ years sideload experience, and be comfortable with using a phone for communications and tracking. Forklift endorsement is a plus.

Qualifications

• Holds a NZ Class 4 driver’s licence or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating class sideload vehicles.
• Experience in waste collection.
• Forklift endorsement is advantageous.
• Able to work Tue–Fri, minimum 27 hours per week.
• Wheels, Tracks and Rollers experience advantageous.
• Confident with using a phone/tech.

Responsibilities

• Logging information on Eroad/Logbook.
• Trained to safely operate one of our range of vehicles.
• Complete daily pre-start and post-start vehicle inspections and report any maintenance requirements.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and environmental standards.
• Maintain a high level of awareness around public safety, traffic management, and hazard identification while operating in residential and commercial areas.

About the Role:

Contract Type: Permanent Part Time

Days and Hours: Tuesday – Friday, minimum 27 hours per week.

Key responsibilities:

• Logging information on Eroad/Logbook
• Trained to safely operate one of our range of vehicles
