Job summary

Smart Environmental is seeking a casual Driver to join our North Waikato team. If you want flexible hours and the chance to gain experience in waste logistics, this could be the perfect fit.

You will cover for staff on leave, log details in Eroad/Logbook, and operate our range of vehicles safely. You should be comfortable with technology and delivering friendly, professional service to the public.

Qualifications

• Must hold NZ Class 2 licence plus minimum 1 year experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
• Able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing shifts.
• Excellent customer service skills and positive public interaction.
• Confident with using a phone and basic tech for logging and communications.

Responsibilities

• Cover for staff on Annual or Sick Leave.
• Log information on Eroad/Logbook.
• Operate safely a range of vehicles.
• May need to get in and out of the truck repeatedly; stay fit.

About the Role:

Contract Type: Casual

Days of Work: As and When Required

Key responsibilities:

• Cover for employees who are on Annual or Sick Leave
• Logging information on Eroad/Logbook
• Trained to safely operate one of our range of vehicles
• Keep fit while you work - you may be required to get in and out of the truck multiple times

Skills and experience:

• Holds a NZ Class 2 driver's licence or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience driving Class 2 vehicles
• Able to work flexible hours
• Team player and willing to learn.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members of the public
• Confident with technology as you will be required to use a phone
