Macmahon New Zealand is seeking experienced Drill Fitters to join our team at the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island. In this hands-on role, you will perform maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on a fleet of brand-new underground Sandvik drill rigs.

Working with a skilled and supportive team, you’ll contribute your expertise while developing your skills in a high-performing underground mining environment.

Qualificações

• Australian or New Zealand recognised Mobile Plant Trade Qualification (Cert III or equivalent).
• Experience maintaining and repairing underground mining equipment, ideally Sandvik fleet.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across heavy mobile equipment.
• Experience managing maintenance records and reporting systems.
• Valid unrestricted NZ Class 1 or AU Class C Driver's Licence (essential).

Responsabilidades

• Perform diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on underground Sandvik drill rigs.
• Complete servicing and maintenance to OEM standards and site procedures.
• Support equipment reliability, availability and safe operating performance.
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to safely execute maintenance activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Location: Snowy River Gold Mine Project – Reefton, New Zealand’s South Island
• Roster: 7:7 (Local) or 14:14 (FIFO)
• Accommodation allowance provided for local personnel
• Flights, transport and accommodation provided for FIFO personnel

Working alongside a skilled and supportive team, you'll contribute your expertise while continuing to develop your skills in a high‑performing underground mining environment.

What You’ll Bring

• Australian or New Zealand recognised Mobile Plant Trade Qualification (Cert III or equivalent).
• Experience maintaining and repairing underground mining equipment, ideally Sandvik fleet.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills across heavy mobile equipment.
• Experience managing maintenance records and reporting systems.
• Valid unrestricted manual New Zealand Class 1 or Australian C Class Driver's Licence (essential).
