Job summary

Wish Foundation is seeking a Drama Tutor in Auckland to plan, develop and deliver structured drama tuition for children and adults. The role involves both individual and group instruction, with theoretical and practical components, including acting techniques, voice, movement and stage performance.

You will assess progress and adapt lessons to learners’ needs. The position is permanent full-time with 30–40 hours per week and shifts rostered across Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree NZQA Level 7 or higher, or at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop structured drama programmes and lessons for individuals and groups.
• Deliver both theoretical and practical drama tuition to children and adults.
• Assess students’ progress and adapt lessons to individual needs.
• Prepare students for performances, showcases and auditions.
• Review and update curricula and teaching methods based on student progress.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and manage classroom dynamics.
• Coordinate student performances and assist with community events and stage management.
