Job summary

Auckland City Wish Foundation is seeking a Drama Tutor to plan, develop and deliver structured drama tuition for children and adult learners, both individually and in groups.

You will provide theoretical and practical instruction in drama, including acting techniques, voice and movement, and stage performance, while assessing progress and adapting lessons as needed. Opportunities to showcase learning through performances and community events are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or NZ qualification level 7 or higher, or 2+ years relevant experience.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess drama lessons.
• Experience coordinating student performances and events.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop structured drama programmes for individuals and groups.
• Deliver theoretical and practical drama tuition to children and adults.
• Assess student progress and provide coaching and feedback.
• Prepare students for performances, showcases and auditions.
• Review curricula and teaching methods to meet learners' needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Coordinate student performances and assist with community events and stage management.
