Job summary

The Glamorgan School in Auckland seeks a Drama Tutor to plan, develop and deliver structured drama tuition for children and adults, individually or in groups. The role covers acting techniques, voice, movement, improvisation, and stage performance, with assessments and progression tracking.

You will prepare lessons to suit learners’ ages and abilities, coordinate class terms and performances, and support community events and showcases as part of Wish Foundation activities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification at level 7 bachelor’s degree or higher equivalent to a New Zealand qualification.
• Or have at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop structured programmes of study in drama for individuals and groups.
• Provide theoretical and practical drama tuition, including acting, voice, movement and stage performance.
• Assess and monitor student progress, giving feedback and adapting lessons accordingly.
• Prepare students for performances, showcases, auditions and other relevant assessments.
• Review curricula and teaching methods to improve outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and support community events and stage management.
