Job summary

Whenuapai School in Auckland is seeking a Drama Tutor to plan, develop and deliver structured drama tuition to children and adult learners, individually and in groups. The role covers theory and practice in drama, acting, voice, movement, script interpretation and stage performance, with assessment and adaptation to students’ needs.

It includes coordinating performances and supporting community events. Shifts are rostered from Monday to Sunday, with 30–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification or 2+ years relevant work experience requested.
• Experience in drama teaching and performance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured drama lessons for diverse ages.
• Assess and support individual student progress and performance.
• Coordinate student drama performances and community events.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment for all students.
