Job summary

Jora New Zealand in Rolleston is seeking a hands-on warehouse operative to join our distribution team. This busy role involves picking, packing and dispatching orders with strict accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You will use RF scanners and a Warehouse Management System, sort stock by barcode, load conveyors, and operate pallet jacks. A reliable team player with good communication is essential; onsite training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a distribution/warehouse environment is desirable.
• Ability to use RF scanners and a warehouse management system.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Using RF scanner and Warehouse Management System to process orders.
• Checking incoming orders and preparing them for picking.
• Picking, packing, and dispatching products for customer orders.
• Sorting product onto store pallets promptly.
• Loading cartons onto a conveyor belt.
• Devanning containers and unloading cartons (1kg–20kg).
• Sorting stock by barcode and staging for shipment.
• Operating pallet jacks, box cutters and strapping machines.
• Bulk picking and stock management.
• Jumping in to support the team and get the job done.
• Promoting safe work practices and maintaining a safe work environment.

Based in our Rolleston Distribution Centre, you will be working alongside a team that is dedicated to delivering product correctly to our customer while achieving great productivity rates.

We are looking for someone that can keep up with our fast-paced environment. This busy role could offer you a variety of tasks, including:

• Using a RF scanner and Warehouse Management System
• Checking incoming orders
• Picking, packing, and dispatching products for customer orders
• Sorting product onto store pallets in a timely manner
• Loading cartons onto conveyor belt
• Devanning containers and unloading cartons (1kg–20kg)
• Sorting stock by barcode
• Operating pallet jacks, box cutters, and strapping machines
• Bulk picking and stock management
• Jumping in where needed to support the team and get the job done
• Health and safety - actively promoting safe work practices and ensuring a safe work environment is maintained at all times.

40 hour week; Monday to Friday. Preferred shift time 7.30am-4pm.
