Job summary

The Warehouse Group is seeking a PM Shift Team Member in our Canterbury distribution centre in New Zealand. You will work across multiple departments to complete the day’s tasks in a high-energy environment, contributing to smooth operations during peak periods.

This fixed-term role runs until mid‑January 2027, Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:30pm, with a rate of NZ$30.28 per hour. You’ll be involved in despatch, stock handling, RF scanning and packing, joining a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to stand and move across a fast-paced DC environment.
• Able to handle varied tasks and learn different parts of the operation.
• Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication and ability to switch between tasks smoothly.
• Flexible, proactive and able to work across different teams.
• Warehouse/DC experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple departments across the distribution centre based on daily priorities.
• Stack pallets (1 kg–20 kg) and sort stock by barcode.
• Use RF scanners to track stock movement.
• Wrap pallets and assist with despatch.
• Label, strap, and prepare stock for delivery.
• Bulk picking and general warehouse support.
• Respond quickly to changing needs during the shift.

Job Description

As a member of the PM Shift Team Member, you’ll work across multiple departments to finish up the day's work and keep things flowing across the DC. It’s a high-energy, high-impact role where your flexibility and willingness to dive into any task really make a difference.

Every shift looks a little different - you could be helping with despatch, sorting inbounds, replenishing racking, or assisting with labelling and prep. If you like variety, fast pace, and working with a great crew, this role is for you.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting multiple departments across the DC depending on daily priorities
• Stacking pallets (1kg–20kg) and sorting stock by barcode
• Using RF scanners to track stock movement
• Wrapping pallets and assisting with despatch
• Labelling, strapping, and preparing stock for delivery
• Bulk picking and general warehouse support
• Responding quickly to changing needs throughout the shift

This is a fixed term position until Mid January 2027.

Monday – Friday 3:00pm – 11:30pm

$30.28/hr

Please note: This role is to support our Peak Period through to January 2027. As it is our busiest time of the year, we are unlikely to be able to approve any extended leave across this time including around Christmas and New Years (Please note, we do not work public holidays).

• Are physically fit, reliable, and ready to work on your feet
• Enjoy variety and learning different parts of the operation
• Have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Communicate well and can jump between tasks smoothly
• Are flexible, proactive, and comfortable working across different teams
• Have warehouse/DC experience (helpful, but not a deal-breaker)
