Placements24 is seeking a diligent Paralegal for a busy Dispute Resolution department in Queenstown. The role supports attorneys from inception through resolution, handling document management, legal research, client communication, and case preparation.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in dispute resolution or litigation, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Paralegal Studies or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal, with focus on dispute resolution or litigation.
• Strong understanding of South African court procedures and litigation processes.
• Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in managing litigation files, including organizing case documents and evidence.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries, chronologies, and discovery requests.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
• Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, and other court documents under attorney supervision.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, court dates, and depositions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and manage deadlines effectively.
