Job summary

LegalVision is expanding its disputes practice in New Zealand with a newly created Practice Leader role. You will manage diverse disputes including contractual, corporate, employment and leasing matters, directing matters from inception through trial or settlement.

The ideal candidate is an 8+ PQE NZ-qualified lawyer with strong client relationships, capable of leading junior lawyers and delivering strategic commercial advice.

Qualifications

• 8+ PQE NZ qualified lawyer with experience in supporting commercial clients in dispute resolution matters.
• Full work rights to work in NZ.
• Proven ability to manage litigious and pre-litigation matters with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of litigious and pre-litigation disputes from inception to resolution.
• Build direct trusted-advisor relationships with clients and shape business decisions.
• Run large, complex commercial litigation.
• Grow the practice by supporting existing clients and attracting new clients.
• Guide junior lawyers and review their work to foster professional growth.
• Share expertise through articles, webinars and internal training.
