Job summary
LegalVision NZ is seeking a versatile dispute resolution lawyer to join as Practice Leader in a newly created role. You will support commercial clients across a broad range of disputes, including contractual, corporate, employment, leasing, and debt recovery matters.
You will manage a varied caseload, provide strategic advice, and help grow the practice while guiding junior lawyers. This is a fully remote role with optional hybrid work from our Christchurch HQ and access to coworking spaces.
Qualifications
- 8+ PQE NZ qualified lawyer with experience in dispute resolution for commercial clients.
- Experience in employment disputes is a plus.
- Ability to manage litigious and non-litigious matters with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct a varied caseload from inception to resolution.
- Provide strategic, practical advice aligned with client objectives.
- Lead large, complex commercial litigation and guide juniors.
- Grow the practice by expanding client base and cross-sell opportunities.
- Contribute to thought leadership through articles, webinars, and training.
- Support junior lawyers' professional development and review their work.
