Job summary

My client, a leading New Zealand logistics provider, seeks an operations coordinator to oversee the bulk fuel delivery network across New Zealand. Based in Mount Maunganui, you will manage daily scheduling, dispatch, inventory monitoring and compliance to ensure safe, reliable, on-time deliveries.

You’ll work with operators, customers, and the logistics team to maintain accuracy, efficiency and high service standards, with a Monday–Friday training period and a Sunday–Thursday roster once fully

Qualifications

• Background in transport logistics, ideally heavy fleet dispatch or bulk liquid/dangerous goods distribution.
• Proficient Excel skills; experience with fuel scheduling systems is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail with proven accuracy in documentation and planning.
• Ideally understand NZ transport worktime rules, fatigue management, and logbook compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fuel inventory levels, reconcile planned vs delivered volumes, and manage customer dip imports.
• Plan and schedule daily fuel deliveries to optimise fleet utilisation and productivity.
• Track terminal fuel allocations, identify supply issues early, and manage bunker supply requirements.
• Maintain Journey Management Plans (JMP) and ensure full worktime, safety, and compliance standards.
• Coordinate delivery incidents, site hazards, and vehicle maintenance requirements with operators and fleet management.
• Maintain 100% data integrity for customer orders, load plans, KPI reporting, and operator roster updates.
• Analyse KPI data to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

This is a key operational role responsible for coordinating clients bulk fuel delivery network across New Zealand. Based in Mount Maunganui, you’ll manage daily scheduling, dispatch, inventory monitoring, and compliance processes to ensure customers receive their fuel safely, reliably, and on time. You’ll work closely with operators, customers, and the wider logistics team to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and high service standards.

You will work Monday to Friday during the initial training period (for around 3 months), before transitioning to a Sunday–Thursday roster once fully trained. $80,000-$100,000 plus incentives.

Duties
