Job summary
WSP NZ is seeking a Digital Engineering Lead to advance water project delivery, combining hands-on delivery with national influence over modelling standards and digital practices. You will lead the adoption of best practice BIM and digital engineering tools while supporting project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
The role requires leading digital transformation, strong stakeholder engagement, and a passion for continuous improvement, with a tertiary engineering qualification
Qualifications
- Extensive digital engineering experience in infrastructure or water projects.
- Experience leading digital delivery standards, workflows and quality practices across teams.
- Hands-on contributor to project delivery while coaching others.
- Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives within engineering environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement at project and leadership levels.
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in digital delivery.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead digital delivery across water projects, contributing to modelling, design and technical outputs.
- Establish and embed consistent modelling standards, workflows and quality frameworks.
- Advise Water Leadership Team on digital engineering practices.
- Drive improvements in tools, systems and processes for better delivery.
- Coach project teams nationwide to uplift capability.
- Support adoption of ISO 19650‑aligned practices.
- Contribute to strategic direction for digital engineering in water sector.
- Enhance client outcomes through high-quality, reliable digital delivery.
