Job summary

WSP NZ is seeking a Digital Engineering Lead to drive how we deliver water projects across Aotearoa. This pivotal role blends hands‑on project delivery with national influence, shaping standards and ways of working for consistent quality and efficiency.

You will lead digital delivery across multiple projects, mentor teams, and influence strategy while adopting ISO 19650 practices to deliver superior client outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to impact infrastructure nationwide.

Qualifications

Extensive digital engineering experience in infrastructure or water.
Ability to lead and embed digital delivery standards across teams.
Hands-on contributor to project delivery while coaching others.

Responsibilities

Lead and support digital delivery across water projects, contributing to modelling, design and outputs.
Establish and embed modelling standards, workflows and quality frameworks.
Act as technical advisor to Water Leadership Team on digital practices.
Drive improvements in tools, systems and processes to boost efficiency and delivery.
Coach and uplift capability within project teams nationwide.
Support adoption of ISO 19650-aligned practices.
Contribute to strategic direction for digital engineering in water sector.
Enhance client outcomes through high‑quality, reliable digital delivery.
