Engage Recruitment Support – Taupo, North Island

We’re working with a Taupō-based organisation looking for an experienced Digital Services Lead to lead and develop its digital service environment.

This is a broad people and service leadership role spanning workplace technology, digital and application support, information management and digital coordination. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, take end-to-end ownership across digital services and help ensure they remain reliable while continuing to improve how people across the organisation experience and use technology.

There is a strong improvement focus. You’ll use service data, user feedback and business needs to identify where services can work better, whether through automation, self-service, improved processes or changes to the way support is delivered.

Information management is also an important part of the role. You’ll help strengthen how organisational information and records are governed, managed and used so they remain trusted, accessible and secure.

You’ll work across the organisation, building relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, understanding what people need from digital services and helping connect those needs with organisational priorities, technology roadmaps and future ways of working.

A key part of the opportunity is helping shift digital services from reactive delivery toward more proactive business enablement, better user experiences and measurable value.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leading, coaching and developing a multidisciplinary digital services team
  • Taking end-to-end ownership across workplace technology, digital and application support, and information management
  • Leading the planning, prioritisation and delivery of projects and initiatives across the team’s portfolio
  • Using service data, user feedback and performance measures to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting automation, self-service, prevention and process improvement
  • Leading and strengthening information and records management capability, governance and lifecycle practices
  • Helping ensure information remains trusted, accessible, secure and available to support operational and organisational needs
  • Managing technology suppliers, monitoring performance and progressing service improvements where needed
  • Working across the organisation to understand user needs and improve digital experiences
  • Helping align digital services with organisational priorities, technology roadmaps and future ways of working
  • Working collaboratively with other digital and data capability to support better use of information, analytics and emerging technology
What we’re looking for:
  • Substantial background across IT support and/or information management, including demonstrated team leadership or supervisory responsibility
  • Proven service ownership from a user and service-delivery perspective
  • A solid understanding of modern workplace technologies, digital support environments and information lifecycle considerations
  • Good working knowledge of IT service management practices
  • Confident people leadership, with the ability to coach, develop and set clear expectations for a multidisciplinary team
  • Clear communication and relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Confidence managing suppliers and external service providers
  • The ability to use service information, feedback and performance measures to improve delivery
  • Comfortable balancing multiple service areas and competing priorities
  • Sound judgement when weighing user experience, service performance, risk and organisational needs
  • A continuous-improvement mindset and an interest in finding better ways to deliver digital services
  • Relevant industry qualifications or DevOps Foundation/practical DevOps leadership experience would be advantageous.
What’s on offer?

This is an opportunity to lead across a broad digital services portfolio and influence how people experience and use technology across the organisation.

  • Flexible, family-friendly working
  • Wellbeing support and employee benefits
  • Career development and growth opportunities
  • A strong focus on supporting people to develop their strengths
