About the role

We are looking for a strong Technical Delivery Specialist to take ownership of the delivery rhythm across a small, highly capable digital team. You will bring structure and momentum to multiple concurrent workstreams, facilitate effective agile ceremonies, maintain a healthy and prioritised backlog, manage dependencies, and ensure risks and blockers are identified early.

This is a hands‑on delivery role for someone who understands how software engineering teams operate. You will be comfortable discussing APIs, integrations, data flows, environments and CI/CD with engineers, without needing to write the code yourself.

What you’ll be doing
  • Owning the team’s delivery cadence across multiple technical workstreams
  • Facilitating sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives
  • Managing and refining the delivery backlog, including scope, estimates, priorities and acceptance criteria
  • Translating strategic priorities into clear and achievable delivery activities

  • Supporting programme‑level reporting for senior leadership and governance
  • Coaching the team in practical agile delivery and continuous improvement
  • Identifying opportunities to use AI‑enabled tools to improve planning, reporting and coordination
What we’re looking for

You will be a delivery-focused professional with experience working directly within software engineering or digital delivery teams. You may have worked as a Scrum Master, Delivery Manager or Technical Delivery Lead.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Strong experience delivering software engineering or digital initiatives
  • Experience working in both smaller organisations and large, complex environments
  • Proven ownership of agile ceremonies, team cadence and delivery outcomes
  • Experience managing and prioritising technical backlogs
  • Strong technical literacy across APIs, integrations, environments, data flows and CI/CD
  • Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and managing interdependencies
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar agile delivery tools
  • The confidence to challenge estimates, scope and assumptions when something does not look right
  • Clear reporting, facilitation and stakeholder communication skills
  • An interest in using AI and automation to improve delivery practices

You will be organised, dependable and calm when priorities shift. Just as importantly, you will know how to adapt delivery practices to suit the team rather than applying process for process’s sake.

Why consider this opportunity?

This is a chance to have genuine ownership of delivery within a collaborative and purpose‑led environment. You will work closely with technical specialists, help shape how the team delivers, and introduce practical improvements that reduce friction and improve outcomes.

If you enjoy sitting at the intersection of technology, people and delivery and you know how to turn priorities into progress we would love to hear from you.
