Job summary

Rushton Marketing in New Zealand is seeking a confident Digital Ad Specialist & Client Manager to own client relationships while delivering high-impact campaigns across Google, Meta, TikTok and emerging platforms. You will meet with clients, lead strategy sessions, manage budgets, track performance, and report insights in plain language.

Hybrid role with offices in Timaru and Ashburton, with some WFH flexibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in a performance or digital marketing role – agency experience preferred.
• Proven experience managing multiple clients at once.
• Proven experience in managing Meta, TikTok and Google Ads.
• Knowledge of how to set up tracking across multiple platforms and websites.
• Analytical brain that turns data into action.
• Ability to talk to small business owners like humans.

Responsibilities

• Being the go-to person for your own portfolio of NZ business owners – running client meetings and building relationships.
• Managing day-to-day delivery of digital ads (Google, Meta, TikTok and ChatGPT).
• Managing ad budgets and reporting on performance metrics with plain-English insights.
• Testing, measuring and refining to squeeze more ROI and leads from every dollar.
• Spotting trends, monitoring competition, finding opportunities for clients.
• Occasional content creation – social posts and landing page tweaks.

This isn't your average behind-the-scenes ad role - we need someone who not only knows how to build and optimise killer ad campaigns, but can also own the client relationship. You'll be meeting with clients, leading strategy sessions, and driving results across Meta, TikTok, and Google platforms predominately

What you'll actually be doing

• Being the go-to person for your own portfolio of NZ business owners - running client meetings, building genuine relationships, and making sure nobody ever feels forgotten.
• Managing the day-to-day delivery of digital ads (predominately, Google, Meta, TikTok and ChatGPT)
• Managing ad budgets and reporting on performance metrics, turning them into plain-English insights and recommendations.
• Testing, measuring and refining to squeeze more ROI and more leads out of every dollar.
• Spotting emerging trends, keeping an eye on the competition, and finding new opportunities before your clients ask.
• The occasional bit of content creation - a social post here, a landing page tweak there.
