Job summary

Tranzit Group in Rangiora, NZ is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic with 5+ years’ experience to join our Southern workshop team in Rangiora or Darfield.

This full-time role offers 40 hours a week, an on-call roster, competitive pay reflective of experience, a fortnightly tool allowance, and strong commitment to training within a nationwide workshop network.

Applicants must pass pre-employment checks and have NZ citizenship or resident status.

Qualifications

• Qualified diesel mechanic with 5+ years’ experience, preferably in road transport.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair abilities.
• Reliable team player with good communication.
• Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and minor repairs to keep our fleet road ready.
• Prepare vehicles for COF inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults.
• Ensure all work meets high safety and quality standards.

We are looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Southern workshop team based in Rangiora or Darfield. If you take pride in your trade and enjoy problem-solving—we'd love to hear from you!

What will your day look like?

• Carrying out routine servicing and minor repairs to keep our fleet road ready.

We Are Looking For

• A Qualified Diesel Mechanic with proven experience (5 years +), preferably within the road transport industry.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• A reliable team player with great communication.
• Full NZ driver's licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
