Job summary

Sourced IT Recruitment is seeking a hands-on DevSecOps engineer for a Christchurch-based 9-month fixed-term contract.

You will design, build, test and maintain automation across AWS, GCP, VMware and networking, using GitHub Actions and Terraform, with scripting in Python/PowerShell/TypeScript. The role focuses on automating security practices, improving workflows, and collaborating with engineering teams from Christchurch.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevSecOps role across cloud, automation and security.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Terraform and scripting.
• Christchurch-based with NZ work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and maintain automation across AWS, GCP, VMware and networks.
• Develop and improve CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and Terraform.
• Build automation with Python, Bash, PowerShell, JS/TS and API integrations.
• Support cloud operations, migrations, and security remediation.
• Improve scripts, docs, and reusable DevSecOps patterns.
• Occasional out-of-hours work during maintenance windows.
