Arvion Services in Wellington, New Zealand, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to own end-to-end infrastructure, CI/CD, and platform reliability. You will design secure, scalable AWS multi-region infrastructure and drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across global teams.

The role emphasizes on-call readiness, incident management, and collaboration with architecture and engineering to deliver resilient cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of production infrastructure experience.
• Strong AWS experience including multi-region deployments and IAM.
• Proven IaC experience with tools such as Terraform or similar.
• Proven ownership of CI/CD pipelines, release automation and deployment strategies.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration in production.
• Strong observability, monitoring, alerting and SRE practices.
• Experience handling production incidents and on-call rotations.
• Daily use of AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve CI/CD reliability, developer experience, release management, and deployment automation across teams.
• Design, build, and operate secure, scalable, multi-region cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate to implement modern developer platforms and AI-assisted SDLC tooling.
• Manage production observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response for shared infra.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive reliability improvements.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code solutions and cloud automation practices.
• Support disaster recovery, networking, identity management, and infra security initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure platform operations.
