Job summary

Sun Property Services Limited in Auckland is seeking five full-time permanent painters to join a well-established local team. Work is centered in the Auckland Region with a minimum 30 hours per week, 5 days a week, including weekends as needed.

You will prepare surfaces, apply paints and decorative finishes, and ensure high standards of safety and cleanliness while collaborating with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' relevant painting experience.
• NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent.
• Able to follow instructions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, instructions, and style requirements to understand each job's specifications and materials needed.
• Prepare walls and surfaces by washing, scraping, filling holes, and removing old paint to ensure a smooth finish.
• Apply paint using brushes and rollers, including decorative finishes like lettering and glazing.
• Conduct detailed reviews to ensure specifications are met and no detail is missed.
• Maintain clear communication with residents and team members to meet expectations and standards.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Read and interpret blueprints and job instructions.
• Work well in a team or independently; be detail-oriented with a high finish quality.
• Identify and solve client problems as they arise.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Director/Owner.
