Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to support residential construction projects. The role is full-time and in-person, reporting to the Director of Operations and Project Manager, with responsibilities spanning takeoffs, cost estimation, bid preparation, and vendor coordination.

You will review plans, pricing, and bids, track costs, and support transitions from preconstruction to active projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• 5+ years total estimating experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with construction estimating software.
• Proficient in quantity takeoff, cost analysis, construction plans, and MS Excel.
• Experience negotiating with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs for residential construction projects.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and analyze project costs.
• Prepare bid packages and solicit bids from vendors and contractors.
• Research and evaluate material pricing.
• Review construction plans, proposals, and submitted bids.
• Track project costs and revise estimates as needed.
• Provide bid clarification support after proposals are submitted.
• Support the transition from preconstruction to active project execution.
