Job summary

Recruit Plus Limited is seeking a Residential Estimator in New Zealand to perform quantity take-off, cost estimation, and budget preparation for residential projects. You will work with design, project management, and construction teams to optimize cost plans and provide commercial advice during bidding and early planning.

Responsibilities include preparing quotations and cost analyses, managing material and subcontractor inquiries, and maintaining price databases while monitoring market cost

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• At least two years of experience as a Residential Estimator.
• Familiarity with New Zealand residential construction processes and building material systems.
• Ability to independently complete quantity take-off and budget quotation.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with CostX, Buildxact, Cubit, Procore or similar software preferred.
• Good numerical analysis ability and business acumen.
• Fluent in Chinese and English with good communication and teamwork.

• Continuously monitor market material and labor cost changes to optimize budget accuracy.
