DTS is seeking a Design Engineer to join our small on-site team in Normanby, South Taranaki, focusing on the mechanical design of stainless steel tanks, vats, pressure vessels and other specialised equipment.
You’ll design with SolidWorks/AutoCAD, produce fabrication drawings, and work with production to ensure on-time delivery and manufacturability. 3+ years of experience preferred; NZ work eligibility required.

As a Design Engineer within our small design team, you’ll be responsible for the mechanical design of stainless steel tanks, vats, pressure vessels and other specialised equipment.
You’ll need to ensure that they are structurally sound, fit for manufacturing, are compliant and meet customer requirements.
This is a full time, 40 hours per week role, based on site in Normanby, South Taranaki.
You’ll be joining a small, practical engineering and manufacturing team where good design makes a real difference in how things are built, perform and last. This is a role where you’ll have some variety and the opportunity to see your work move from concept through to fabrication and installation.
You’ll be supported by an experienced Engineering and Production Manager and work closely with a team of skilled individuals who bring your designs to life in stainless steel.
