Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced design engineer to join the New Product Development team, collaborating with engineers across disciplines to create practical, reliable electromechanical solutions used in dairy and industrial automation.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering with 7+ years' experience designing and developing electromechanical products, proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), and knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and

Qualifications

• Experience taking products from concept to production.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline. 7+ years' experience designing and developing electromechanical products
• Proven experience using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
• Experience taking products from concept through to production
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• The ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Bonus points if you have experience in:

• Dairy technology, agricultural machinery, industrial automation, or robotic
• Food-grade or hygienic design
• Product compliance and certification requirements
