Job summary

Webuild S.P.A. is seeking a Site Supervisor in Christchurch, NZ to oversee site operations on a full-time, hourly basis.

The role involves coordinating with construction managers, architects, and surveyors, interpreting drawings and codes, and managing schedules, materials, and labor for commercial and civil projects. The candidate should have 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent qualification, be flexible for weekend work and shifts, and commit long-term to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience or a Level 4 or above qualification, Bachelor's degree or above; no major restrictions.
• Must be flexible for work, able to work over the weekends, and must cover our required shifts.
• Long-term and full commitments are required.
• Assisted Construction Managers, Architects and Surveyors in the planning, organisation and coordination of commercial and civil construction projects.
• Interpreted architectural drawings, engineering plans, building regulations and codes of practice to support construction activities.
• Prepared and updated preliminary sketches, working drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Coordinated work programs, monitored project progress and assisted in scheduling construction activities.
• Inspected construction work, materials and site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations and industry standards.
• Calculated project costs, prepared quantity estimates and assisted in estimating project timeframes.
• Collected site measurements and technical data using surveying instruments and other measurement equipment to support project planning and reporting.
• Prepared, edited, and revised plans, maps, charts, and construction drawings using relevant software and documentation systems.
• Assisted in coordinating labour, materials and equipment resources to support efficient project delivery.
• Performed routine computations, plotted and analysed preliminary project data, and prepared technical reports for construction management.
