Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Auckland is seeking a Demi Chef with a passion for presentation, flavour and high standards from workspace to table. You’ll own your workstation and contribute to a busy kitchen that delivers memorable dining experiences for our guests.

This role requires 3 years of culinary/kitchen experience in hospitality, the ability to lift up to 23 kg, and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3 years culinary/kitchen experience in hospitality.
• Strong reading, writing and basic maths skills.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg and work flexible night/weekend/holiday shifts.
• Compliance with local food handling and alcohol serving laws.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Make meals visually appealing and flavorful.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness and manage supplies and waste.
• Washing up and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Support team with ad-hoc tasks.
