Job summary

New Zealand Couriers Limited in Nelson is hiring a Freight Sorter on a permanent part-time basis. The role operates at our Nelson branch, handling unloading and sorting of parcels to meet courier pickups in the morning.

You will work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 2am to 7:30am, with a focus on Health and Safety. Forklift license is a plus, and previous warehousing experience is valued.

Qualifications

• You can lift up to 25kg repetitively and enjoy working on your feet.
• Strong commitment to Health and Safety.
• Experience in warehousing depot environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload and sort parcels at the Nelson depot.
• Meet deadlines for courier pickups in the morning.
• Help maintain depot cleanliness and health and safety standards.

About the Role

Based at our Nelson branch, our Freight Sortershandlethe unloading and sorting of parcels, working to deadlines to have everything ready for courierpick upand delivery in the morning. In joining the Freight Sorter team, you are a crucial part of the nationwide mission to deliver our customers’ freight safely and on time. Freight Sorters will also assist in maintaining the cleanliness of thedepot, andbe dedicated to the team’s Health and Safety.
