Job summary
Southern Cross Healthcare is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the National Support Office in Auckland. You will build and maintain scalable data infrastructure, create data models, and develop ELT/ETL pipelines to enable trusted insights and informed decisions.
You will work with Snowflake, Azure and dbt to deliver secure, high-quality data solutions while collaborating across teams and governance processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IT or related field.
- 6+ years of Data Engineer experience with cloud data platforms.
- Strong Snowflake, Azure and dbt skills.
- Expert in data modelling, data warehousing, and DBMSs.
- Experience with multiple programming languages and data tools.
- Knowledge of data security, governance and quality practices.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines to enable efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval.
- Create data models and database schemas; develop ELT/ETL processes.
- Optimise data performance and ensure data quality, security and governance.
- Integrate third-party data sources and APIs into data platforms.
