Job summary

ACC New Zealand is seeking a Data Engineer to develop, build and continuously improve scalable data pipelines, data products and governed data across ACC's enterprise platforms. Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and supporting data pipelines, data models and data products.
• Strong capability in scripting, data transformation, orchestration, testing, monitoring and automation.
• Experience working with large, sensitive and complex datasets from across multiple systems.
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata, lineage, privacy, security and access management practices.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms, CI/CD practices and DataOps or DevOps approaches.
• The ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in data engineering, computer science, software engineering, mathematics or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori Data Sovereignty principles.
• A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to delivering trusted, high-quality outcomes.

As a Data Engineer, you will develop, build and continuously improve scalable data pipelines, data products, and governed data that enables trusted, secure and high-quality data across ACC's enterprise platforms. Working across operational and analytical environments, you will support frontline services, enterprise decision-making and future-focused initiatives including AI and advanced analytics. The appointing salary for this role is $101,287 to $131,077 based on experience.
