Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on Dell hardware (servers/storage/networking) and data center environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in interpreting system logs, diagnostic outputs, and performance data.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and customer-first mindset.
• Willing to travel to customer sites across New Zealand at short notice.
• Flexibility to work overtime or alternative schedules, including on-call responsibilities.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 22kg.
• Desirable: willingness to participate in NZ’s National security clearance to Secret level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site technical support to ensure rapid recovery and minimal downtime.
• Apply technical support expertise to resolve customer issues.
• Coordinate with customer onsite teams, provide guidance, training, and help with parts delivery or pickup.
• Work with peers, remote support and SMEs to increase knowledge and resolve issues.
• Use troubleshooting tools and data analyses to determine best resolution.
• Perform proactive and reactive maintenance and hardware PFRs per procedures.
• Enforce safety, quality, and documentation guidelines during interventions.
• Orchestrate logistics for expedited parts delivery during outages; manage inventory.
