Job summary

IDEMIA New Zealand is seeking a Field Support Engineer to maintain IDEMIA solutions and equipment at customer sites across Auckland and NZ. You will be the first technical contact for responding, investigating, and resolving issues under tight SLA pressure.

Responsibilities include proactive maintenance, root-cause analysis, integrating new releases with NZ/Australia software teams, liaising with customers to meet KPIs, and managing spare parts. On-call and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• NZ Customs, Aviation security, and police clearances as a minimum must always be valid.
• Electrical Practicing license (EST).
• Able to participate in on-call roster.
• Travel to various locations in NZ might be required.

Responsibilities

• Managing hardware and software related incidents within the agreed service levels.
• Proactively supports IDEMIA customers by performing daily administration tasks and regular system preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots and identifies root causes of software and hardware problems and resolves issues per IDEMIA standards.
• Work with Software Engineers in New Zealand/Australia to integrate new releases into the customer environment.
• Liaise with customers to ensure satisfaction and KPI targets are met.
• Complete reports accurately and in a timely manner (administrative reports, site inspections, installation reports, etc.).
• Manage spare parts stockholding, including ordering and maintaining stock levels.
• Conduct/participate in internal and external training as required.
• Be able to work outside of standard business hours as required.
• Other duties associated with technical responsibilities as requested.
