Job summary

Niche Recruitment – Wellington Central is seeking a Data Analyst for Regulatory Data & Statistics to support the production, analysis, and dissemination of high-quality data and statistics that inform critical decisions and public outcomes.

You’ll lead timely creation and analysis of datasets, champion data quality, collaborate across teams, and translate insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. This hourly-rate contract runs until 27 April.

Qualifications

• Experience producing, analysing, and disseminating data or statistics.
• High proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI, R, Python and/or SQL is an advantage.
• Understanding of financial/economic and or banking data and strong analytical attention to detail.
• Proven ability to translate complex analysis for non‑technical audiences and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Degree in statistics, data science, economics, finance or similar.
