Job summary

Tribe Group in New Zealand seeks a hands-on Data Analyst to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that support better decision‑making. You’ll work across the organisation with operational leaders and technology teams to build dashboards and analytics tools.

The role requires 3+ years in analytics, strong SQL, data modelling and Tableau experience, and the ability to translate data into practical recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in an analyst, data or insights role.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
  • SQL skills and a good understanding of data structures.
  • Experience with data analysis, modelling, data visualisation and business intelligence (Tableau).
  • The ability to translate data into recommendations, policy or business decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse complex datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting and business intelligence solutions (using Tableau).
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their data, systems and business objectives.
  • Provide evidence‑based advice to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Support modelling, simulations and testing of proposed solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytical methods and business processes.
  • Support strategic planning, reviews and organisational reporting.
  • Ensure data, reporting and analytics solutions meet appropriate privacy, security and governance standards.
  • Provide quality assurance across analytical work and reporting.
  • Communicate complex information clearly to a range of technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

About the Opportunity

This is a hands‑on analytical role where you’ll work across the organisation to turn complex data into clear, meaningful insights that support better decision‑making.

You’ll work closely with operational leaders, subject matter experts, technology teams and other senior stakeholders to understand business challenges, analyse data and develop practical solutions. This will include building and maintaining dashboards and analytics tools, providing evidence‑based advice and supporting strategic planning and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

What You’ll Bring

  • A structured, detail‑oriented approach with the ability to manage competing deadlines
